The first SCS figurine in the Fabulous Creature trilogy was the Swarovski Unicorn. Like some of the previous trilogies, Swarovski offered an optional display stand for 1996 AE crystal figurine as well.
The Fabulous Creatures Unicorn stand measures 6″ in length. It originally retailed for $45. The Unicorn Stand Box features a line drawing of the Unicorn, so any collector easily confirm when the stand is in the correct box.
The Swarovski Unicorn Stand is 2 colors with an opaque plastic piece for the Unicorn base. The remainder of the Unicorn Stand is painted wood: mostly black with a forest green trim along the very bottom edge. Trying to describe it any further would be difficult, so it is best to rely on the picture.
The identification # for the Swarovski Unicorn Stand, as established in Warner’s Blue Ribbon Books on Swarovski and recognized by other professional brokers is # DO1X961S.
As time has passed, we have notice the black paint peeling or chipping on the corner edges. This is one place in particular that crystal fanatics should look at when buying a SCS Unicorn Stand for their figurine display.
At present, there are not many SCS Unicorn Stands available on the secondary market or at auction. Warner’s Blue Ribbon Books recommends an insurance value of $210, based on research done in January 2012. Recent trends on the secondary market indicate trading prices in the $130 – $175. At the online auctions, there were some completed auctions near $50 for stands, and those stands were minus original factory packaging. In summary, the replacement value of the Swarovski Unicorn Stand will vary greatly depending on condition (good paint vs peeling paint) and whether or not original factory packaging is included.

The designer for the Swarovski Soulmate Panther figurines is Heinz Tabertshofer . All the panther crystal figurines are fully faceted animals attached to black spot granite bases. The limited editions are individually numbered and engraved in the granite base.
The Kristall Buzz has featured previous articles about the gorgeous Swarovski Panther cats:
So what are the differences between the Swarovski Online Limited Edition Panthers? As much as I know at this time, the colors are different and the production quantity is different. Swarovski Black Panther – Limited to 500 units. Swarovski Orange Shine Panther – Limited to 888 units. I have not heard any news about the price. The retail price on all the colors released to date has been just under $1000 each.
The Limited Edition Black Panther is performing well on the secondary market, with trading prices in the $3000 to $3500 range. If this is any indication of success for the Limited Edition Orange Shine Panther, you’ll want to save the date of August 29, 2011 to try and purchase this newest one, so that you won’t have to pay secondary market prices to add it to your Swarovski crystal collection.
About 2 weeks ago, I wrote an article about the Swarovski Lovlots Sealife family moving into the Lovlots community. At the time, it was not clear exactly where they would reside in the Lovlots City.
Since that time and with some investigation, I have found that the Swarovski Sealife characters do have a specific place within the Swarovski Lovlots City…Sealife Jack, Sealife Johnny, Sealife Danny, Sealife Gina, and Sealife Shelly & Sam reside in the Lovlots City Harbor!
More information about the Lovable Lovlots Fish, Penguins, and Ducks can be found on the Swarovski web site!
In 1988 the International Winter Olympics were held in Calgary, Canada. Swarovski Canada officially licensed at least 2 Swarovski crystal plaques to commemorate the event. I have heard rumors about a plaque with bears and a flag being previously discovered, but there was no year on the plaque. The Swarovski plaques are not marked with a Swarovski logo on the crystal, so finding a rare one with a Swarovski box was a real treat.
The Saddledome plaque was numbered 9503M2692, and officially referred to by Swarovski as Saddledome, Iceberg. Unfortunately, the original box for the rare plaque featuring the bears hoisting the Canadian flag has been lost. The Saddledome Iceburg can be found in Warners Blue Ribbon Books Beyond Silver Crystal as well as the plaque with bears using the Warner’s assigned product number of BSC201000007. The bears plaque itself is very interesting, with Calgary, 1988, Winter Olympic Games, in English and French, engraved. The same blank crystal plaque was used for both Olympic memorabilia. It has physical size of 3 3/4″ wide and 3″ high.
These plaques indeed are rare Swarovski crystal plaques to find. They may also be sought after by avid Swarovski crystal collectors, Canadians, or any participating Olympic athlete.
Thank you to our Swarovski fanatics friends for passing along the information for us to share with crystal collectors around the world!
Swarovski crystal fanatics may be eager purchase the newest Tinker Bell in the 2011 Swarovski Peter Pan Collection. This is definitely exciting news for Disney fanatics too that collect Swarovski crystal figurines.
The crystal brand also produced other Swarovski Tinker Bell figurines. The Swarovski Tinkber Bell 1998 was the Arribas figurine. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and you may be searching for that ideal gift for that special someone in your life. Well, if that special someone is among the community of Swarovski fanatics, a Swarovski heart may be a gift to consider purchasing.
If your special someone is a seasoned Swarovski collector, you’ll want to check out the newest Swarovski heart releases to ensure that the heart gift is not already in his/her crystal collection. Swarovski has created 4 new hearts for 2012:
Swarovski Love Heart, Kakadu Red, large – 1096730. This crystal heart is about 2.5″ high and retails for $165 in the online shoppe. Despite the colorful description, the heart in the picture on the Swarovski site appears to be pink on the left side, and mauve on the right side.
Swarovski Love Heart, Light Siam, medium 1096728. This Swarovski heart is about 1.75″ high and has a price tag of $95 on the online shoppe. According to the image on the crystal brand’s site, the left side appears pink and the right side appears red.
Swarovski Love Heart, Light Siam, small – 1096727. It measures 1″ high (but is indicated on the Swarovski shoppe with a height of 2″) and it costs only $48. This Swarovski heart is all red, but divided in half, which slightly different shades on the left and right sides.
Swarovski Love Heart, Crystal Silver Shade, medium 1096729. This Swarovski crystal heart is not pink or red; instead the left side is clear and the right side more of a light grey (Swarovski calls it silver shade). Then there are about 10 hearts laser engraved on the crystal heart figurine. This special heart retails for $95 in the Swarovski shoppe.
If your special someone is a new Swarovski crystal collector, you may want to consider the retired Swarovski heart figurines that were available exclusively to Swarovski SCS members in the 1990’s. These Swarovski hearts are a single crystal stone and have a constant color throughout.
Swarovski SCS Heart, Clear – 199 130. This Swarovski SCS Heart is clear in color and is just over 1.5″ in height. It was not available for purchase, but was a gift to SCS members in 1996. The clear heart may be found with or without the Swarovski Swan logo. It can generally be purchased for $45 – $75 on the Crystal Exchange America website.
Swarovski SCS Heart, Blue – 210 899. This Swarovski SCS Heart is blue in color and is just over 1.5″ in height. It was not available for purchase, but was a gift to SCS members in 1997. The blue heart features the Swarovski Swan logo. It can generally be purchased for $55 – $75 on the Crystal Exchange America website.
Swarovski SCS Heart, Red – 215 371. This Swarovski SCS Heart is red in color and is just over 1.5″ in height. It was not available for purchase, but was a gift to SCS members in 1998. The red heart features the Swarovski Swan logo. It can generally be purchased for $40 – $60 on the Crystal Exchange America website.
No matter which Swarovski heart catches your eye, or more importantly, you think will catch the eye of your loved one(s), be sure to get your order in soon to allow for a successful delivery!
In July, there was a formal announcement about the 2012 Steiff Swarovski Cookie, which is a limited edition holiday teddy bear.
Swarovski Steiff Cookieis a limited edition bear, available only in the USA. This exclusive Steiff Cookie has a maximum production of 1500 units, that retail at $310 each.
Cookie the Holiday Bear sports a Swarovski Twinkling Gingerbread Man around her neck, so it seems probable that Swarovski collectors and Steiff collectors will show sufficient interest for this bear to be a sell-out, though I have no facts to support this thought.
The Steiff USA web site and stores in North America are accepting orders for this Swarovski teddy bear. Sunny-Bears.com is offering Steiff Cookie at a slightly lower price during the pre-order period.
Yesterday I wrote about all the new 2012 Swarovski Crystal Hearts as well as the Swarovski SCS Heart figurines produced in the 1990’s.
Swarovski still has many other heart designs if none of these seemed quite right for your special someone.
From 2004 – 2008, the crystal brand produced Limited Edition Swarovski Heart Ornaments. These limited edition ornaments were annual editions and were laser etched with the production year and were hung by a ribbon.
Also, during the near same time frame of 2004 – 2007, Swarovski utilized the heart design for promotional collectibles for SCS members celebrating Swarovski AE figurines at Swarovski store events. These Swarovski Hearts include:
Swarovski Yellow Heart, celebrating Anna, the Swarovski SCS figurine in 2004. It is decorated with Anna’s ballet shoes and the year 2004.
Swarovski Topaz Heart, celebrating Harmony, the Swarovski SCS figurine in 2005. It is decorated with a starfish and the year 2005.
Swarovski Blue Heart, celebrating Eternity, the Swarovski SCS figurine in 2006. It is decorated with a shell and the year 2006.
Swarovski Clear Heart, celebrating Community, the Swarovski SCS figurine in 2007. It is decorated with a spiral shell and the year 2007.
These promotional hearts are all about 1.5″ in height and retailed in the $45 – $50 price range at the time they were offered. They have flat surface areas featuring the small etching related to its corresponding annual edition theme. These Swarovski event hearts are a bit more difficult to find, but are still generally reasonably priced at less than $100 each.
One of these Swarovski crystal heart figurines may be just what you were looking for to give your special someone during your Valentine’s Day dinner!
Looking for a very special gift for a Swarovski crystal fanatic friend? A lovely hair straightener may be an option?
Swarovski crystal embellished flat iron
I have found this Linea Pro Swarovski Crystal C2 Iron
that is individually numbered and made to order. According to Amazon, there are over 2500 hand set Swarovski crystal stones on each flat iron. The effort includes 8 man-hours of stone setting and 48 hours for the glue to cure. Each Swarovski-studded flat iron includes a certificate of authenticity and plaque from the Swarovski factory.
The retail price is $850 USD! That’s a whopper of a price for a flat iron, so hopefully it works as well as it sparkles.
While I saw this sparkly flat iron mentioned on a number of sites, I only found it available for purchase on the Amazon site.
It is surprizing at the number of power tools and electrical appliances that are being made these days, completely covered in Swarovski crystal stones!
