Noted for its expert craftsmanship and elegant appeal, the Nirvana ring distinctively Swarovski’s iconic design and shines as a timeless classic among Swarovski rings.

Swarovski Nirvana Ring

The Nirvana ring, launched in 1998 after two years of technical research, is part of the Daniel Swarovski Couture collection. Available in a wide array of crystal colors, including white, red or blue flash, jet black, emerald green, tanzanite and lavender glitter, the assortment is enriched each season with a new shade.

Nirvana Crowne, which debuted in the FW 2010 collection. is encircled with crystals applied by hand using the exclusive Pointiage® technique, and the FW 2011 collection will introduce the Nirvana Petite ring, the latest variation of this contemporary classic.

To celebrate the ring’s enduring allure, Swarovski will hold a monthly sweepstakes (through the end of 2011) beginning on May 5, 2011. The winners will be awarded a Nirvana Ring, crafted in faceted clear crystal and silver. To enter the Nirvana Ring Sweepstakes, visit WWW.SWAROVSKI.COM/nirvana .

To enter the sweepstakes, participants are signing up to receive their Swarovski Newsletter, and being entered in the sweepstakes all at once.

Swarovski told me that collectors can enter the sweepstakes every month to have the best chance at winning, but will only receive only a single email of each newsletter.

The crystal brand has produced a video incorporating the Swarovski Nirvana Ring, and it is in the February Kristall Buzz Archives.

Best of luck to all crystal fanatics who enter the sweepstakes….I’ve got my entry in for the August drawing now!

The Swarovski Hello Kitty Limited Edition 2011 (Swarovski system # 1097008) does not show an ‘Add to Shopping Bag’ button.  I’m not sure if it has already sold out, or if it simply is just not yet available on the web site at this time.

Crystal Exchange America has added a new category for ‘Hello Kitty’ listings and has new Swarovski Hello Kitty information on their

Swarovski TEN Limited Editions available at Swarovski Online Shop

Swarovski has posted to the SCS members area of the site about a couple limited edition Swarovski jewelry soon to be available.

The reason?  The Swarovski online shop is TEN years old! In celebration, the Swarovski shop is launching two special limited editions that are available beginning June TEN for TEN days.

One online limited edition piece is the Swarovski Black Pearl Nude set.  It includes a pendant and a pair of earrings.  (From the pictures I would imagine pierce earrings, but this is not specifically stated anywhere.)  The design is a black crystal pearl with two strands of clear crystal pave stones.

The other online limited edition piece is the Swarovski Medallion Pendant.  This necklace design is 2 circles, joined at the top encrusted with Swarovski pave crystals.  Inside each hollow loop are 5 crystal stones.  I wonder if this is symbolic of putting 10 candles on a birthday cake?

There is no mention of price on either item or total quantity of production.  The announcement only states that they are available June 10 through June 20 while supplies last.  And of course, since they are online editions, these Swarovski TEN releases won’t be found in any stores.

Swarovski released other online limited editions just prior to Christmas, 2010.  There are Kristall Buzz articles when they were released in November / December 2010, simply look in the archives.

So Swarovski crystal aficionados, mark your calendar if these items are items you want to add to your collection, either to display or to wear!

Swarovski to Debut Hello Kitty Collection

Today I happened upon another article which had more information about the Hello Kitty and Swarovski collaboration I’ve been writing about.

Hello Kitty 5301579
Swarovski Pointiage Hello Kitty

The article does indeed confirm that the Swarovski Hello Kitty collection will be available in select Swarovski stores beginning in August.  It did not specify if the stores are Swarovski Boutiques, authorized Swarovski dealers, or a combination of both.

The article elaborated on the items in the collection: necklaces, pendants, bracelets, rings, Swarovski’s ‘power bag’, and several crystal figurines.

The exclusive Swarovski Limited Edition Hello Kitty was also mentioned.  The Swarovski LE will be decorated with nearly 20,000 Swarovski pave stones using their signature pointiage technique.  There was no mention of where this kitty will be displayed or how it will be sold. Lottery? Online order? Available to a Hello Kitty group like the Swarovski SCS?

Hello Kitty seems to have a pretty big following. she’s been around for over 35 years now.  Hard to imagine that a cartoonish Hello Kitty cat has survived all the cultures and changes in technology to still remain popular.  I’m not saying that I like or dislike, just that many fads have ‘their time’, and Hello Kitty seems to be going strong.

After learning that the Swarovski Hello Kitty line will be available in select stores, I have to think that it will be available at the online store of Swarovski.com.  This Sanrio Swarovski collaboration is great news for Swarovski crystal and Hello Kitty fanatics.

Swarovski Hello Kitty (by Sanrio) Collaboration

I recently learned that Sanrio, the maker of Hello Kitty, has collaborated with Swarovski again, to produce about 10 items in the fall/winter 2011/2012.  Included in the list of items to be launched are ….
    • Swarovski Hello Kitty Minaudiere (Purse)
    • Hello Kitty Coin Purse
    • Hello Kitty Card Holder
    • Hello Kitty Bag Charm
    • Swarovski Hello Kitty Earrings
    • Swarovski Hello Kitty Charm Bracelets
    • Swarovski Hello Kitty Necklaces
    • Swarovski Hello Kitty Rings
    • Limited Edition Swarovski Crystal encrusted hand mirror.  Production max of 100, retailing for $350
    • Limited Edition molded Hello Kitty body-shaped case with brush set.  Production max of 100, retailing for $495

To no surprise, there is a Swarovski Limited Edition 2011 Hello Kitty Mascot!  There are 88 LE Swarovski Kitties decorated using the pointiage technique.  The mascot has approximately 19,600 Swarovski stones.  This Swarovski Hello Kitty statue will retail for approximately $12,000 USD!

Swarovski Hello Kitty Limited Edition

Natalie Cohen (from Swarovski) states, “As a fan from day one, I saw an obvious connection between the magical, sparkle of crystal and the bright, playful world of Hello Kitty.”

One source indicated that this special Swarovski Hello Kitty collection will be available in the Sanrio’s 1900 stores starting in August.  They cite 7 necklaces and pendants, 3 bracelets, 2 rings, a range of leather goods and 3 figurines.

I’m wondering what the packaging for the crystal figurines will look like.  Will it be the traditional Swarovski box in navy?  Or does Hello Kitty have their own packaging style?  Will the crystal figurines bear the Swarovski logo?  Or does Hello Kitty have a special mark they use for figurines?

As the Swarovski stores do carry the Swarovski Disney figurines (a joint venture with Disney) and it appears they will be carrying the Swarovski Aura perfume (a joint venture with Clarins), I wonder if the Swarovski crystal Hello Kitty figurines will be there too?

Swarovski Crystal Decorated Watches

I recently came across a review of some unique watches decorated with Swarovski crystal stones.  After reading the review, I decided to get more information on the watches.

These retro digital watches can be found on the Phosphor web site.  I saw about six watches available, with the primary difference being the strap color and crystal colors.  The prices range from $200 – $250 per watch.

The description from the Phosphor web site about one of their watches is:

Driven by Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital (M3D) technology, the Phosphor Appear watch utilizes miniature-sized rotors adorned with Swarovski crystals that revolve to reveal numerical or chronological information. With each minute, an electrical pulse generates an electromagnetic field that changes the position of the crystals on the face of the watch, to elegantly display the passing time, while producing a distinctive sound unique to the Phosphor Appear digital watch line.

The basic “time” mode features a 12-hour display, with the hours positioned above the minutes on the face. The watch face also offers a “seconds” mode and “off” mode, showing an entire face of crystals with no time display.

These Swarovski crystal decorated watches are interesting.  They contain lots of bling and are likely fascinating conversation pieces.  While composing this article, I decided to check out the crystal giant’s web site of their product line of Swarovski Watches.  As you would expect, the watches are pricey.  The least expensive Swarovski watch was $500.  I did find several over $3000.  If cost is a motivating factor in purchasing a blingy watch, perhaps these Phosphor time pieces may be something to consider!

Swarovski Tinker Bell in 1998, 2008, & 2011

Swarovski crystal fanatics may be eager purchase the newest Tinker Bell in the 2011 Swarovski Peter Pan Collection.  This is definitely exciting news for Disney fanatics too that collect Swarovski crystal figurines.

The crystal brand also produced other Swarovski Tinker Bell figurines.  The Swarovski Tinkber Bell 1998 was the Arribas figurine.  Arribas Tinker Bell is about 3 ¼” tall and has over 280 pave Swarovski stones.  It originally retailed for $325. The Swarovski limited edition Tinker Bell had a maximum production of 10,000 units and was only distributed through the Arribas stores in the Walt Disney theme parks.

The next Swarovski Tinker Bell was in 2008.  The 2008 Swarovski Tinker Bell was a cooperative effort with Disney.  Swarovski Tinker Bell 2008 was a limited edition figurine produced in 2008.  It is nearly 5″ tall and includes a title plaque in the original retail price of $300.  This Swarovski limited edition Tinker Bell is now highly sought after on the secondary market and commands prices of $850 – $1200!

Tinker Bell fanatics have got to take note of all Swarovski Tinker Bell jewelry available in the online store.  Prices on the individual items are $65 – $150.
  • Swarovski Tinker Bell Aurore Boreale Pendant
  • Swarovski Tinker Bell Butterfly Pierced Earrings
  • Swarovski Tinker Bell Long Pendant
  • Swarovski Tinker Bell Star Bracelet
  • Swarovski Tinker Bell Star Pierced Earrings

The 2011 Swarovski Tinker Bell and Swarovski Peter Pan and feature accents in Olivine (green) crystal, with other colorful effects.  The crystal figurines in the Swarovski Tinker Bell / Peter Pan collection can be view on the Swarovski site.  The site does not mention size or price of the crystal figurines in the Peter Pan Collection.

If you are looking for retired Swarovski Tinker Bell, Arribas or Disney figurines, Crystal Exchange America has many available. They have figurines dating back to the 1997 when Swarovski and Arribas worked together to create the first Limited Edition Swarovski Jeweled Mickey Mouse.

Swarovski Limited Edition Heart Parcel Pendant Sold Out

Swarovski’s final weekend special was the Swarovski Limited Edition Parcel Pendant.  According to company advertising several weeks ago, had a maximum production of 500 units. This pendant featured a silver colored chain and setting.  It was a clear heart-shaped crystal embellished with light amethyst pave crystals. (The Swarovski system number is 1083012.)

Swarovski hosted four weekend events, which began in mid-November, selling limited edition jewelry  This was the second necklace pendant that sold out.

It would be neat to see Swarovski do this weekend event special featuring a special crystal figurine just before Valentine’s day???

Swarovski Men’s Jewelry in Swarovski Crystal 2011 Product Releases

Swarovski, a world leader in Swarovski Crystal figurines, jewelry, and fashion, will release a men’s collection in the spring or summer next year.  This new men’s collection will consist of rings, bracelets and chains with a focus on steel and black Swarovski gemstones.  This is fantastic news for the male crystal fanatics who have traditionally been excluded from Swarovski’s jewelry line.  Swarovski cites that the men’s collection will be “secretive, mysterious, and metallic.”

The world renowned crystal company mentions names of the five new Swarovski men’s jewelry collection lines: Nano, Newton, Nevada, Nightfall, New England, and Mooncarbon.  Each line focuses on different personalities and embellishing on different elements of a men’s accessory line.

Good luck Swarovski…hoping this is a true hit.  Perhaps in the future we’ll see a line designed for teen girls in terms of appeal and price!
