Ultimate Swarovski Crystal Corvette

One of my clients asked me about purchasing what she called the Swarovski Corvette. I did some detective work and finally found the Swarovski Corvette she was asking about.

The Swarovski Crystal Corvette is a limited edition die cast model Corvette bejeweled with approximately 5300 hand-set Aurora Borealis Swarovski crystals. This brilliant, sparkly sports car is a limited edition piece, with only 500 units produced. The Swarovski Corvette is available exclusively through the Franklin Mint. The Swarovski Ultimate Corvette is 1:24 scale.  One web site indicated a December release date, just in time for the holidays, and pre-orders are presently being taken at the Franklin Mint site. This limited edition has a nice price tag of nearly $1300 which can be made in 3 easy payments to the Franklin Mint.

For Swarovski Crystal collectors who may be interested in a cheaper Swarovski car, Crystal Exchange America does have several different ones available on their web site: Swarovski Limited Edition Porsche 356, Swarovski Porsche 911, and Swarovski Porsche Caymen . The Swarovski Porsches are typically in the $400 – $800 range. And if the Swarovski Porsches are still too pricy for a car gift, there’s always the Swarovski Old Timer Automobile which normally sells in the $125 – $200 range.

Swarovski Ornaments on Christmas Trees

Christmas trees are a holiday tradition for many in the USA. Swarovski offers crystal ornaments to display on or off the Christmas tree each year. Swarovski designs and produces a Swarovski Star Ornament / Swarovski Snowflake Ornament, and a variety of other ornaments including angels, candy canes, stocking, Santa hats, and more.

The celebrated Swarovski Christmas tree will again be on display featuring lovely, sparkling Swarovski ornaments.  In the USA, the stunning Swarovski tree can be found at Rockefeller Center in New York, New York. The grand Swarovski Star will be raised on November 18, 2010. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held November 30, 2010.

Swarovski has created the top star on the Rockefeller Center tree since 2004.  The first lit Swarovski ornament star was in 2009. This video clip shows the 2009 star.

So …Swarovski crystal fanatics, save the date for this beautiful event!  I envy all Swarovski collectors who are lucky enought to be there!

Swarovski Crystal Gifts

Swarovski Crystal figurines are always an excellent gift for avid Swarovski collectors.  If you plan to give you your special someone a new Swarovski release, you should consider using the Swarovski Gift service.  Swarovski’s Gift service allows shoppers to select the delivery date, pick the packaging, and include a personal greeting.  How convenient is that!

Crystal Exchange America has a large selection of Retired Swarovski.  While they do not do gift-wrapping, they can help plan the delivery date.  If shoppers are uncertain on which Swarovski figurine to purchase for the Swarovksi collector in their life, Crystal Exchange can make recommendations to consider.  Their best advice is to shop early to get the widest variety of selection at the lowest prices.

Swarovski Limited Edition Hong Kong Pyramid

The rare Swarovski Hong Kong Art Object crystal is on ebay now!

This Swarovski Limited Edition originally retailed for approximately $1100 and stands just over 12″ tall.  Only 1997 crystal figurines were produced, commemorating the transition of Hong Kong. Each Swarovski Crystal figurine was individually numbered.

Swarovski Club SCS Trilogy Discontinued

To purchase Swarovski Club figurines, collectors must be a member of the Swarovski SCS, that is, the Swarovski Crystal Society.  The SCS has been around since 1987, and presently boasts over 350,000 members worldwide.

Since the inception of the club, Swarovski SCS figurines have been launched in trilogies.  The Swarovski Club trilogies are as follows:

  • Caring and Sharing: 1987 to 1989
  • Mother and Child: 1990 ­to 1992
  • Inspiration Africa: 1993 to­ 1995
  • Fabulous Creatures: 1996 ­to 1998
  • Masquerade: 1999 ­to 2001
  • Magic of Dance: 2002 to 2004
  • Wonders of the Sea: 2005 to­ 2007
  • (This trilogy was available in color or clear and the first issue in this set was available for 3 years, and the second issue was available for 2 years, with the final issue available for only 1 year, so it is a bit different trilogy)
  • Endangered Wildlife: 2008 ­to 2010
Beginning in 2011, the Swarovski SCS Annual Edition will not be a part of a trilogy.  The annual edition will be packaged complete with its own plaque.

I have mixed, feeling about the changes.  It may be a sad ending for the dedicated, longtime SCS members…with the anticipation of what year 2 and 3 will bring in the trilogy now gone.  But then again, with news spreading at the speed of light on the internet, future Swarovski news doesn’t remain secret for long!

Swarovski Crystal Steiff Bear for 2010

Swarovski fanatics may be interested in the recently released Steiff Bear with Swarovski Ornament.  The 2010 Steiff Bear, named Twinkle, can be purchased from the Steiff USA site. Twinkle is a Limited Edition cute apricot-colored mohair bear with a Swarovski Christmas Tree ornament hanging from her neck.  The first Steiff Swarovski Bear was ‘Daniel’ in 2004.  In 2005, ‘Crystal’ arrived.  ‘Orian’ joined them in 2006.  ‘Jewels’ entered the scene in 2007.  ‘Flurrie’ made her appearance in 2008.  In 2009, ‘Kringle was released.  Now, make way for ‘Twinkle’ in 2010!  Remember, ‘Twinkle’ is a Steiff / Swarovski Limited Edition piece!

Swarovski Limited Edition Duck – Kids Earth Fund

On a mission to get more information about the Swarovski Limited Edition Pink Duck, I’ve now come across yet another Swarovski Limited Edition Pink Duck!  “What?” you say.  Yes, another Limited Edition Pink Duck for a different beneficial organization.

Swarovski, together with the Kids Earth Fund, has launched a Limited Edition Pink Duck for the “Pink Happy Duck Project”.  It very much resembles the Swarovski Limited Edition Duck released for Breast Cancer Awareness I found on ebay a few days ago.  However, there is no ribbon on this one.  Swarovski has assigned unique part numbers to each Limited Edition Pink Duck.

The “Pink Happy Duck Project” figurine was only available in Japan and was released to all Swarovski boutiques October 16, 2010.  A percentage of sales will be donated to the Kids Earth Fund.

Swarovski Limited Edition Duck

I found a couple of  Swarovski Limited Edition ducks on ebay.   They appear to be pink, and most all the advertisements I have seen indicate they were produced in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness.  They are in the “Happy Ducks” packaging.  Here are links to a couple of them.

Rare Swarovski Buddha on eBay!

The rare Swarovski Buddha is on eBay now!

The Swarovski Buddha was originally available for a donation of about $2000.  It was a Limited Edition figurine commissioned for production by Swarovski with a maximum of 10,000 produced.

This ebay auction has an opening bid of $775, so it seems likely to sell.  Check out the auction for the Swarovski Buddha that ends on November 3, 2010.  Good luck to all who bid!
