Swarovski Limited Edition Bosch Screwdriver

It’s early June with Father’s Day just around the corner.  Is your husband, father, or grandfather among the Swarovski crystal fanatics collectors?  If so, this screwdriver may be a terrific gift for him!

This Swarovski-studded cordless screwdriver is a limited edition, Swarovski embellished machine designed to celebrate the Bosch IXO model rising to the top of the power tool world.  According to several web site sources, there have been over 10M sold since 2003.

Only 2000 of this limited edition screwdriver were made, each one decorated with 470 Swarovski crystal stones.  Retail price?  Only $470 USD!

I’m not sure that this screwdriver is available in the USA or not.  I was able to find it only at the Amazon UK site, with a small quantity available there.

If a Swarovski embellished power tool is not the gift you were considering for that crystal-collecting dad, check out Crystal Exchange America’s web site for plenty of other Swarovski crystal ideas.  Be sure to order soon as order fulfillment generally takes about 10 business days.

Happy Memorial Day to Swarovski Crystal Fanatics!

Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, is a USA holiday celebrated on the last Monday of May.  It commemorates our military personnel who died in service.  On this holiday, Americans proudly display their USA flags and spend time with families.

Swarovski crystal fanatics can show their spirit and pride wearing Swarovski jewelry featuring flag decorations:

Swarovski Gear Flag Pin (Left), retails for $65 and Swarovski Gear Heart Pin (Right), retails for $65.

Both Swarovski pins and other new release Swarovski crystal figurines can be found on the Crystal Fox Gallery web site, and appear to be in stock.  Of course you can’t have it to wear today, but you can be ready for July 4th if you order now!

Swarovski Ray Paperweight as Time Magazine Award

The Swarovsk Ray Paperweight, by Swarovski Artist Darko Mladenovic, is being used as an award for all of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.

The crystal giant Swarovski employs the most talented designers around the world working on its most popular crystal creations.  Approximately 65 Swarovski artists have been employed by the company since 1976.  And many times, Swarovski crystal designs were credited as ‘team’, implying that a number of people worked to the project so that a single designer could not be credited for the crystal figurine design.

One designer in particular, Darko Mdadenovic, worked for Swarovski 2002 to 2008.  During that time, he created 21 sculptures that were officially launched into the Daniel Swarovski Home Accessories product line of the company.  His least expensive design retailed for $475 and most expensive design exceeded $5200.
One of Darko’s most recognized designs was the Swarovski Large Ray Paperweight.  This sculpture was a Limited Edition, with only 250 produced.  The original retail price was nearly $5200.  The Swarovski Ray Paperweight was almost 8″ in length, an undeniably stunning design.

Time magazine recognized the timelessness and beauty of the Ray Paperweight.  With some customization to add “Time 100” as if it were a logo, Time awarded this sculpture to the recipients of the Time Magazine’s 100 World’s Most Influential People for an amazing four years!  This was not just an honor to the recipients; it was an honor to Darko himself!

The full article and a picture of the special Ray Paperweight sculpture can be found on the Swarovski web site.  Some of this artist’s designs pictures can be found on the Darko web site .

Congratulations to Darko and all the Time recipients for this prestigious title of “Time Magazine’s 100 World’s Most Influential People”.

Swarovski Newsletter for all Swarovski Crystal Fanatics

Swarovski collectors do not need to be an official member of the Swarovski club SCS to get the latest Swarovski news.  Crystal fanatics have access to the news everywhere on the internet.

Fanatics can sign up on the Swarovski site for free Swarovski newsletter, which is published twice a month.  The crystal brand’s newsletters may include features like new Swarovski product launches, promotions, special events, trends, and more.  To have access to this news, directly from the manufacturer, collectors simply need to their email address and language preference on the Swarovski Newsletter form.  Since I’m already on the mailing list for this newsletter, I did not need to subscribe again.

Another official Swarovski newsletter available to fanatics is the Swarovski Beauty Newsletter. To subscribe to this newsletter, collectors need to provide first name, last name, country of residence, and email.  A cell phone number is optional if a collector wishes to receive the news on the cell phone (perhaps in the form of a text message?).  I believe that this Swarovski newsletter will include information on the Swarovski Aura perfume, Swarovski make up jewels, and Swarovski body cream, perfumed shower gel, and perfumed spray that are beginning to launch.  There is no reference as to how frequently the Swarovski Beauty Newsletter is to be issued.  I did sign up for this Swarovski Newsletter and got immediate confirmation my email address had been successfully added.

Two other excellent resources for reliable (yet unofficial) news are RetiredSwarovski.com and KristallBuzz.com .  RetiredSwarovski.com is an excellent venue for staying current on the list of Swarovski crystal retirements for many of the Swarovski product lines.   The “Retiring Soon” page of the site will indicate the most up to date information on Swarovski figurines retiring soon.  This page also contains links to the Swarovski web site so that you can conveniently order before stocks are gone.

The Kristall Buzz Blog is a Swarovski Blog that I have been contributing to since October, 2010.  7 months, 145 posts, and LOTS of Swarovski crystal fanatics telling us how much they appreciate the information and enjoy reading our blog.  The Kristall Buzz had many facets of information.  The blog on Swarovski crystal may contain details on new releases, retirement announcements, and other exciting areas that the Swarovski brand is involved with and that collectors themselves may find interesting.  It is not just about crystal figurines.  It is much more and fascinating to read about.  I hope that everyone will stay tuned to the Kristall Buzz, and be on the look-out for more remarkable things to come!

Swarovski Lovlots Sunshine Mo, Limited Edition Crystal Cow, ‘Moove’ Date is May 30!

Today, crystal fanatics all around the world (myself included) received an email from Swarovski announcing that the Swarovski Sunshine Mo will be available for purchase (in 23 countries) beginning  May 30, 2011!

The Sunshine Mo crystal cow looks adorable.  She is a very bright yellow crystal figurine wearing a red and pink flower necklace that resembles a Hawaiian lei.  I still think that Sunshine Mo might make a great sister or cousin for ‘Hula Mo’! (hint, hint Swarovski!)

Swarovski Sunshine Mo
Swarovski Sunshine Mo

According to the Swarovski web site, they say that this online limited edition is going to be a rare Swarovski figurine.  This then begs the question….does that mean that Swarovski is producing and releasing a much smaller quantity of Sunshine Mo figurines than her predecessors, sisters, and cousins on the Swarovski Lovlots West End?

Here’s for the introductions of the newbie Mo’s limited edition Lovlots relatives:
  • Swarovski Pinky Mo (LE 2007) – transparent pink cow with solid pink horns and bell
  • Swarovski Alabaster Mo (LE 2007.  production quantity limited to 300); solid pink cow with transparent pink horns and bell
  • Swarovski Soccer Mo (LE 2008) – red cow with white horns and ball (NO bell)
  • Swarovski Flower Mo (LE 2009) – green flowered cow with white horns and bell
  • Swarovski Halloween Mo (LE 2009) – orange cow with black horns and bell
  • Swarovski Country Mos (LE 2010) – spotted cows with matching horns and bell
  • Swarovski Glamour Mos (LE 2010) – golden cow and black cow with white horns (NO bell)
  • Swarovski Charming Mo (LE 2011) pink hearted cow with greyish horns (NO bell)

Rare Swarovski Alabaster Mo

Crystal Exchange America has listings for many of the Swarovski Mo Cows and Swarovski Lovlots special editions.  Just visit http://www.crystalexchange.com/ and navigate to the ‘Lovlots and Zodiac’ category in the menu on the left side of the web site.

Swarovski Limited Edition Ring Pop by Bazooka

Bazooka candy brand is now in on the ‘royal wedding’ action!  Bazooka has added some Swarovski crystal bling to a (non-edible) sapphire ring pop, that’s design is supposed to resemble Kate Middleton’s engagement ring.  The limited edition ring consists of a large royal blue component and is surrounded by small Swarovski crystals and has a small crystal stone on the top of the sapphire-like element.

This is a limited edition Swarovski crystal decorated ring pop.  One site stated that there were only 50 of the blinged ring pops produced.  I did not find any web sites or online stores actually selling the Bazooka non-candy ring, but found several instances of them being given away.

There is some exciting news for Swarovski crystal fanatics and ring pop fanatics, there is a contest on Facebook to WIN this fancy faux sapphire ring pop.  The Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/ringpop .  Deadline for entries into the contest is April 29, 2011 at noon EDT.

Good luck if you decide to enter the contest to win the Swarovski crystal and faux sapphire (non-edible) Limited Edition Royal Ring Pop by Bazooka!

Happy Easter to Swarovski Crystal Fanatics from the Kristall Buzz

Happy Easter to Swarovski collecting crystal fanatics around the world!  May all remember the true meaning of Easter … that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us.

My friend Mary’s favorite piece of is the Swarovski crystal Cross of Light.  It has a special place in her heart representing her strong faith.

Retired Swarovski Cross of Light

The Swarovski Cross of Light is a retired Swarovski crystal figurine.  The Cross of Light was produced from 2001 to 2004.  The Swarovski designer of the Cross of Light was Stephano Ricci.  It is about 7″ tall and originally retailed for $385.

The Swarovski Cross of Light is not always easy to find.  Crystal Exchange America does not presently have this item available.  However, if you like the online auctions, here are ebay listings for the Swarovski Cross of Light. I checked the average selling price over the last 3 months, and it ranges $175 – $300.

Swarovski has created some jewelry designs featuring crosses, and Crystal Exchange America does have some available: Swarovski Cross Necklace and a Swarovski Cross Pave Charm.  Visit their web site at CrystalExchange.com and look in the jewelry category.

Swarovski Lovlots Benny Bunny Rabbit – Swarovski Limited Edition figurine???

The latest Lovlots series was launched last month, the Swarovski Lovlots circus. Swarovski Benny is among the figurines in this Lovlots series.  Accompanying Swarovski Benny Bunny are Swarovski Jade Dancing Horse, Swarovski Jasmine Dancing Horse, Swarovski Leo Lion, Swarovski Rolly Monkey, Swarovski Rosalie Dancing Horse, Swarovski Toby Elephant, and Swarovski Tony Elephant.

The crystal giant has certainly advertised Jade as a limited edition Swarovski figurine in the Circus series.  The site states that Swarovski Jade is a ‘Limited Edition horse available only available in 2011’.

There is another figurine in the Swarovski Circus collection that the Swarovski site implies may be a limited edition.Swarovski Benny.  Taken directly from the Swarovski Benny product description on the site:  ‘This shy Prince Charming makes a very cute couple with Bella the rabbit! Benny is only available for a limited time while stocks last.’

Swarovski Circus Benny Bunny

I have asked several Swarovski retailers about whether or not Benny is a limited edition, and they seem unaware of the possibility that it could be limited.  I did some searching on the web, and found at least five stores online stating that it is available for a limited time only.  Two store sources told me that it does not have the year on it (like other Limited Edition Lovlots).

The Lovlots Circus Swarovski crystal figurines are all available for purchase on the Swarovski web site.  Simply go to the web site, and do a search on ‘circus’.  The search results will show the eight figurines from the series.

If I should get a Swarovski company confirmation regarding the marketing of Swarovski Benny, I’ll post an update.

Swarovski Bald Eagle NLE Online Ordering Begins April 11, 2011

Swarovski stores have been accepting orders for the Swarovski Bald Eagle from their SCS customers since mid-February.  Beginning April 11, 2011, it will be possible for Swarovski SCS members to place their order online at the Swarovski site.

Swarovski Bald Eagle, Limited Edition for 2011
Swarovski states that this is the largest colored, cut sculpture ever produced by the crystal brand.  I think it will be interesting to see if the ‘color’ excites Swarovski collectors, or if they pass on the opportunity to purchase because they personally prefer the ‘clear’ sculptures.  I hear both sides from our customers.
The Swarovski Bald Eagle is the seventh Swarovski Numbered Limited Edition (of 10,000) issued by Swarovski since 1995.  Previous Swarovski NLE can be generally obtained on the secondary market:
  • Swarovski Eagle – 1995 NLE
  • Swarovski Peacock – 1998 NLE
  • Swarovski Wild Horses – 2001 NLE
  • Swarovski Elephant – 2004 NLE
  • Swarovski Bull – 2006 NLE
  • Swarovski Rhinoceros – 2008 NLE

So if you are an SCS member, you will have another option for ordering your Swarovski Crystal Bald Eagle.  If you are not an SCS member, you can join now, or simply wait 3 months (hoping that they do not sell out to Swarovski SCS members) and place your order online in July, 2011.
